Kids Marathon

Saturday, April 26 | 9:00 AM

The Kids Marathon encourages children to live a healthy lifestyle while teaching important lessons from the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and the Oklahoma Standard. It is the Run to Remember and a race to show that we can each make a difference in this world.

The Kids Marathon is open to all children 12 years of age or younger. Kids will receive an event shirt, race bib, “In Honor Of” bib, jump rope and finishers medal.

Children in grades higher than 6th are encouraged to run the Memorial 5K or one of our other events. Parents/guardians who choose to run MUST register as an adult. Only adults with a child participating can register.

Participants will log 25 miles from now until race day. On race day, kids will complete their Marathon by running or walking the last 1.2 miles in person. We recommend 8-10 weeks minimum to properly train runners and implement the free Kids Marathon curriculum provided by the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum – so start early!

The Run to Remember Podcast
Weekly episodes leading up to race day provide training tips, motivation, information about the course and discussions with runners and community members. The podcast, hosted by Kristin Fares and Kari Watkins, celebrates the spirit of the Run to Remember and reminds us of Why We Run.
