There's Something For Everyone!

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon has an event for everyone, and now we’re making it even easier to participate all weekend long! Whether it’s your first time running or you’ve “Ran Them All,” be sure to experience the #RUNtoREMEMBER in one of these powerful ways. Challenge participants will also receive extra swag!

Why We Run Weekend Series

Those wanting to go the extra mile in the #RUNtoREMEMBER can participate in the Why We Run Weekend Series, presented by INASMUCH Foundation. The series consists of running the 5K on Saturday and the Marathon, Half Marathon, or Quarter Marathon on Sunday. You will receive one event shirt, one Why We Run shirt, medals for both races you run, and a Why We Run Series medal!

Oklahoma Standard Challenge

On April 19, 1995, Oklahomans united in response to the devastating Oklahoma City bombing, responding with acts of Service, Honor and Kindness. That spirit of generosity still lives in Oklahomans today, and we call it the Oklahoma Standard.

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and the Williams Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa have teamed up for the Oklahoma Standard Challenge. Run the Marathon or Half Marathon in both races during the same calendar year and you’ll receive a special commemorative Oklahoma Standard medal at the Williams Route 66 Marathon Finish Line!

Governor’s Challenge

Love experiencing the camaraderie and energy of the Race Weekend with family and friends? The Governor’s Team Challenge continues! Each year, the Governor challenges teams of runners to beat their team. Any Quarter Marathon team that signs up and participates will be automatically entered to compete against the Governor’s team. If your team’s overall time beats Governor Stitt’s team, you will receive an “I Beat the Gov” shirt that will be mailed after Race Day.

To qualify for this challenge, each team requires four individually registered participants.

The Run to Remember Podcast
Weekly episodes leading up to race day provide training tips, motivation, information about the course and discussions with runners and community members. The podcast, hosted by Kristin Fares, celebrates the spirit of the Run to Remember and reminds us of Why We Run.
