The Race weekend was all about race champions with a winning twist. Two past winners of the Memorial Half Marathon, Al Maeder and Kristi Coleman, became winners of the Memorial Marathon in 2023. Both Half Marathon winners, Andrew Leahey and Kristen Vaughan (winner of the 2018 Memorial Marathon) are from Oklahoma City. It was a repeat of champions for the 5K too, with both winners, Luis Chavez and Natalie Duggan, shaving off substantial time from their 2022 finishes.
