Love experiencing the camaraderie and energy of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon with family and friends? The Governor’s Team Challenge continues! Each year, Governor Kevin Stitt challenges teams of runners to beat his team during the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Any Quarter Marathon Team that signs up and participates will be automatically entered to compete against the Governor’s team. If your team’s overall time beats Governor Stitt’s team, you will receive an “I Beat the Gov” shirt that will be mailed after Race Day.

To qualify for this challenge, each team requires four participants, and they must all be individually registered.

Runners in the Quarter Marathon will have 1 hour and 40 minutes of course support starting from when the last corral is released from the Start Line. If runners are not to Mile 3 (6th and Broadway) by 7:45am, they will not be allowed to continue and directed south to Scissortail Park to enjoy the post-race festivities.

The Run to Remember Podcast
Weekly episodes leading up to race day provide training tips, motivation, information about the course and discussions with runners and community members. The podcast, hosted by Kristin Fares and Race Director Kari Watkins, celebrates the spirit of the Run to Remember and reminds us of Why We Run.
