Now You Can Ride and Remember!

August 26, 2020

Today we announced the addition of two more events in the 20th Anniversary Memorial Virtual Marathon which already includes the Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay, 5K and Kids Marathon. Run and ride by signing up for multiple events!

Registration is now open for the Virtual Marathon Bike Ride sponsored by the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center. These new events allow registrants to participate in either a 26.2 or a 13.1 ride. These are unusual distances for seasoned cyclists, but this is a one-time opportunity with limited capacity of 500 bikers in each race.

These two rides add another dimension to the race and allows excited bikers to participate during this global pandemic.

“Cyclists have long asked us for a bike component and we have never had the time to add it. But with COVID, and so many people taking up biking for the first time – the Virtual Marathon seemed like the perfect opportunity for cyclists to join in on the Run to Remember. Our promise to the runners – we will not take our eyes off of providing a first class Marathon experience, but to the riders, this is YOUR year to experience what so many people love about the Marathon,” said Kari Watkins Race Director.

Each registered rider will receive a 20th Anniversary bib, a 26.2 or 13.1 Cyclists medal, a finisher blanket, a race poster, and t-shirt – all delivered to your house in a 2020 Marathon Commemorative Box. Why We Run? Can also be Why We Ride! You will experience the same mission this race was created for in the first place.
