Relay

Sunday, April 28 | 6:30 AM

Want to experience the camaraderie and energy of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon with family and friends? Enter a team in the 5-person relay. With two 3.1-mile legs, two 6.2-mile legs and one 7.5-mile leg, the Relay has opportunities for runners of all skill levels.

Team Format

A team consists of 5 members and the relay order is 10K, 5K, 12K, 5K, 10K.

Your team can be fewer than 5 members (one or more members running more than one leg), but the entry fee is still the same. A team member can participate in more than one event as long as they are registered in each event. You must register and pay any additional race entries if you choose to run more than one event.

Please note: You may only run Leg 1 of the Relay if you also wish to run the Half Marathon. All other legs of the Relay take you into the Full Marathon course.

Each participant will cross an exchange at the end of their leg. All Relay medals will be available at the Finish Line.

Each year, Governor Kevin Stitt challenges Oklahomans to beat his Relay team during the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Any Relay Team that signs up and participates will be automatically entered to compete against the Governor’s relay team. If your team’s overall time beats Governor Stitt’s relay team, you will receive an “I Beat the Gov” shirt that will be mailed to runners after Race Day.

Runners in the Relay will have 6.5 hours of course support starting from when the last corral is released from the Start Line. If Relay runners are not to the course split at Mile 7.5 by 8:45am or to mile 20 by noon, they will be disqualified and shuttled to Scissortail Park to enjoy the Finish Line Festival.
