Lets get this party started! The Health and Fitness Expo presented by OU Medical Center is a great way to kick off the race weekend. Held the two days before the Marathon, the Expo draws thousands of runners, friends, family, and supporters.
Two very important things happen at the Expo:
• packet pickup
• buying cool running stuff
In addition to booths from a variety of runner related vendors, the Health and Fitness Expo offers free seminars on running performance, health, fitness, and training – be sure to check the Program Guide for the schedule. In addition to your bib and chip, be sure to get an event shirt and goody bag. And keep your eyes peeled for celebrities like Dick Beardsley, Bill Rogers, Gilbert Tuhabonye.
Here’s what you need to know about Packet Pickup:
To pick up your packet you need a confirmation card or email and your I.D. (Confirmation cards will be mailed to you shortly after registration closes on April 12th.)
If you don’t receive a confirmation card, or forget it, DON’T WORRY! Just print a new confirmation card at the computer kiosks in the registration area. Take the confirmation to the registration table, show your ID, and you’ll get your packet.
If you want to change events, or there is an error in your information, we can take care of everything at registration at the Expo – go ahead and bring us your existing confirmation.
Want to pickup someone else’s packet? No problem…just bring THEIR signed confirmation card or email. Again, if you don’t have a confirmation card, just print off a new confirmation at the kiosks. Show us a copy of THEIR I.D., along with the confirmation, and you’ll get their packet.
Packet pickup hours are the same as the Expo. Noon – 8pm on Friday, and 9am-6pm on Saturday.
