Start Line
Located at Harvey, between 5th & 6th (directly west of Memorial)

Finish Line
Located on 5th, west of Harvey

Fun Zone
First Church on 4th and Robinson has a FUN ZONE for the kids. They provide moon bounces, face painting, and MORE!

Lost Children
There will be a LOST CHILD table, with signage inside the Kids Finishers Area the day of the race. Parents and children will be reminded to check that area first if they become separated.

Strollers
Strollers are discouraged, but if you must bring a stroller, you have to start at the back behind all the runners.

What if a child is NOT with a school?
If you are not signed up with a school group, go to the FUN ZONE! All kids running individually will start and reunite with parents under the FUN ZONE signage.

Do parents get drinks, food, and medals?
If a parent is signed up for the Kids Marathon, they can go through the food and beverage line. Finish line food is for registered participants only. All non-registered friends and family should wait for their registered participant outside of the Kids Finisher Corral. We plan for food and drinks by our registration numbers – we want to make sure our runners have enough food and drinks after the race.

Injured Children
If your child (or an adult) becomes injured during the race, please locate a volunteer and they will provide medical attention – or transport them to a nearby medical tent.

Kids Marathon Finisher Corral
Only adults registered for the Kids Marathon, or adults with a tear tag to claim a child, will be able to enter the Kids Marathon Finisher Corral.  Please wait for the children to cross the finish line and receive their medal. PLEASE do not crowd the finish line to see your child. You can impair their vision to the medals. Have a pre-designated place where you are going to meet your child after the race and wait for them there. Also, look for your school group’s sign if running with a school. Parents of kids not running with a school will wait under the Fun Zone signage.

Parking
There is a map online at
www.OKCMarathon.com with parking information. Arrive as early as possible downtown to ensure you find a space.

Can anyone walk or run the race?
We like to limit it to parents and race participants for safety reasons. Parents must be registered to walk or run with their child.

Packet Pickup
You will be asked to sign for any packet you pick up other than your own child. Runner’s logs are requested, but not mandatory.

School Groups

If my school is registering as a group, how do I register? IMPORTANT!
Each participant, including parents and teachers, can be registered one at a time online (no paper entries this year). Or, students participating as a group can be entered as a group.  The school coordinator/team captain will need to contact Shanda (kids@okcmarathon.com) for information regarding registering as a school coordinator/team captain and then setting up your school group online. For each participant (kids and adults), make sure you designate your school in the drop down menu during registration whether registering individually or as a group. This ensures that your packet, t-shirts, etc, are grouped together as a school for packet pickup at the Expo. Make sure adults select “Kids Marathon Adult” if they intend to run with your school.

If I am the School Coordinator for my school, how can I manage my registration?
If you are a school coordinator for your school, email Shanda to verify.  Then you will emailed detailed directions helping you register yourself as a school coordinator and setting your school up as a team. This will allow you to manage those registered under your school’s name and register multiple participants at a time. You will be able to correct any mistakes with our help. Your roster must be finalized by APRIL 1 and that is what we will use to pull your packets, bibs, shirts, etc. We will group ALL packets for your school together for one coordinator to pick up at the Expo.

Are parents packets included with school groups?
If they signed up with the Kids Marathon, they will receive their t-shirt (and bib) if they are on the master registration in the kids area.
